Yes there was a "C" 380 soldiered on for a year longer than other triples, principally identifiable by the flush tank filler cap, actually the same as the X7, also unusually had black faced clocks.

But how did he take the tank and side panels back to bare metal? The side panels are plastic.

From recollection it was only available in red or silver. This one belongs to someone on here, can't remember who.

I haven't been able to discover the actual frame numbers despite research and asking people like Crooks, but it is quite distinctive because of the tank and clocks. The law changed in UK about that time and required flush fuel caps to protect "gentlemen's parts" hence the change, the Kettle already complied and all subsequent bikes had flush or covered caps.

I think toward's the end there were a few GT's left languishing in showrooms, my 550B wasn't registered until May 1979.

Hmmm, a bit of a bitsa. The rear light and brake caliper aren't right and the front mudguard is aftermarket. Not usually bothersome but a C is rare so surprised it isn't right. This is a good bit of infonairb123 wrote:What did the frame numbers start with on a gt380C??. II might have one my self as I have a late gt380B. But anyway, its seeing the air box covers on the wrong way thats irritating. Easy to fix tho.
