Re: GT550 electronic ignition
That is cheap! I had a Newtronic fitted to the TR500 which worked perfectly. It’s an “optical” as opposed to the usual Hall effect magnet type with optical sensors that trigger the ignition when the chopper plate passes through each sensor. Very accurate, easy to set up and once installed never moved. Only one drawback is there is no advance/retard but for our old lowly tuned buses that’s no problem. Highly recommended
They're rubbish them Jap bikes lad they won't last five minutes! you want to get yourself a nice Royal Enfield!

Re: GT550 electronic ignition
The accent does not have a seperate control box so it's a little simpler to fit. However it's essentially the same.

Re: GT550 electronic ignition
As you say Barney.. the Accent has no box to hide away, I'm very happy with mine (Accent) on the Kettle, set and forget, I also think the Motobatt battery has also helped with the running of the bike & performance in general
Cheers.
