Folks,
I recently bought an old GT380/550 seat simply because it has a good, original stainless seat trim on it, which I have now removed. I'll be fitting it to the second hand but NOS seat bargain I picked up.
I intend to sell on the old seat, which isn't bad, but of course looks 'naked' without any trim.
So I found this stuff on ebay - search for:
8mm x 5m chrome moulding trim car protector strip
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160647245591? ... 2965wt_825
Item number 160647245591
Its incredibly cheap - £7.38 for enough to do three seats (which is what I have to sell).
I re-trimmed the seat to sell on last night. This stuff has a very good profile, sticks strongly and after you pull off the plastic coating that protects it, a gleaming shine. I'll try to remember to post a pic later, but I would recommend this to anyone who just cannot find a genuine trim or doesn't want to attempt the fiddly, destructive fixing of such a trim.
Cheers,
Mike
