The bike runs perfectly after its full engine rebuild and has now covered 1000 miles, so will need a new set of points soon. There seems to be a load of different sets on the market and I assume some are better than others. Can you recommend a quality set, or are the Suzuki genuine ones the only way to go?
Thanks.

Re: Which points?
Why would you need new points after 1000 miles?
Just check them (if you must) and if they are worn - with a 'tit' on one face and a small cavity on the other, THEN they need replacing.
Otherwise leave them alone.

Re: Which points?
Sorry didn't explain properly. New points weren't put in when the engine was done as they were in good nick, but have to assume they have now done a fair few miles now but will of course have a look and get the emery paper out ready, but did want to get a set for when I need them.

Re: Which points?
Noooooo! Don't use emery paper or sandpaper on points they have a special coating on them nowdays and they deffo won't work if you damage the surface. Just use a piece of clean card.
I know we used to emery paper them in the old days
