CCI Oil system PM ...

Post by Steve72J »

I believe my 72 has the original tubing and was wondering if I'm borrowing trouble by not replacing them. Bike runs great and the reservoir gets a top off every couple of tanks of gas. Using the CCI oil still as I collected a case some years ago.

Anyone see these tubes "fail" w(ith a catastrophic outcome) or just crack and give a warning drip in the garage ?

I too am running original 72 pipes. They are pretty durable. I have once had a pipe snap close to the banjo during use which was my fault as I had attached it under pressure. They can also split usually close to the pump but in that case oil appears on the crankcase.
