750j model Sris pipes

Help I am confused!,on my 750j model looking at the barrel from the front the Sris valve nearest the right hand exhaust port is stamped C,the upper one to the right of that is stamped R and the one below it is stamped L,this is where the confusion sets in ,stamped on the barrel nearest the right hand exhaust port is L to the right of that that is stamped R and below that one is stamped L,which ones are correct please,Cheers,Dave.

That is correct. The upper of the pair go to the Right crankcase and the lower one to the left case. The Center crankcase feeds the right cylinder. As per Roger's diagram which applies to both early and late style J blocks with bolt on manifolds or spigots.

Not sure who stamped the other marks on you your barrels or why.

Thank you both for your replies,the letters C,R,L,are cat into the barrel,I have not seen this before,has anyone else??

I have seen it on later (spigot) type L barrels but not on the set of early type

Hi Dave,
Bit late but just to confirm my J pipes are the same way round as yours.
No marks on the cylinders though.
