Kettle Clinic

I'm in the process of organising my newly dismantled bits to be painted and it would appear my swinging arm isn't standard, which I had no idea about. It's box section (and rotten) so I've started looking for a replacement.

There seems to be two types, one with open ended wheel mounting slots and one closed. Can anyone tell me which one would have been fitted to a 750L?

I've tried searching but couldn't find anything myself.

I thought that all GT750 swingarms had open ends and plated end caps which were bolted in place. Certainly the L I had was like that and so was the A and the B and a couple of other swingarms I had over the years.

Ahhh, thanks for this! Now that I've looked again (properly, with my glasses on) I see that some of the ones on ebay have the bolt-in end caps and some are missing.

I just thought they were a different design. Can I take it then that the swinging arm wasn't changed at all?

The part number is the same for all years apart from the B where there were some minor changes to the spindle spec, specifically, the spindle was made slightly longer. You can only get the longer spindle new now

No idea what the box section one came off, it seemed like a factory fit.

Sorted, got one from ebay with end caps. That powder coated one looked horrible underneath so wasn't going to take a chance but thanks anyway.

Got the engine stripped this week and unless Suzuki were using orange hylomar in the 70's someone's been in there before.

I've got a box section Dresda swing arm in the Hippo. Doesn't flex at all.
