Been plagues with bowl leaks lately for some reason. no drip, just keeping the flange damp. Just finished dressing the middle bowl with 220 wet/dry paper on a pane of thick of glass and put on a new gasket. Does anyone use a sealer on these. I never have, but one more leak and I may consider it.

Have you checked the float heights?

No ....just pulled the left carburetor out of the way and rotated the middle one enough to pull the bowl. No gas was getting to the top of the vent tube as the bottom of the bowl was dry. Just enough of a leak to keep the left side of the bowl wet, no dripping.

I would smear the gasket with grease and let it stand overnight,
This will swell the gasket and should make a good seal.

Went with a thin coat of Permatex blue on both sides of the gasket. After an hour of riding there's no drips or wet bowl . Makes me wonder if the mating surface on the carburetor is slightly warped. Whatever, it's not leaking now.
