Re: Uh oh !
What happened with the pipe ? Had it not been tightened up or did something sheer ? You're not having any luck at all Terry.

Claimed to have been torqued up, but was loose within 3 miles.

Re: Uh oh !
Ordered 6 new bolts, 3 gaskets, and will check everything starting tomorrow. To be fair, he offered to come out and collect me, but I was only 2 miles from home.

Chin up buddy. Hopefully it's an oversight and you'll have miles of trouble free biking after

Re: Uh oh !
I thought I'd get the tools out yesterday & check things over as its been awhile,
I found a loose gear change lever, several crankcase cover screws that needed tightening,
All good with the exhaust pipe flanges
I hope all goes well with getting your bike back in shape

Re: Uh oh !
Took the centre downpipe off, and checked everything. The threads LOOKED ok, but there was No way that I could get any decent torque on them, before that horrible sickening slackening feeling.
The guy who rebuilt it is coming out tomorrow, but it explains to me at least why the bolts only stayed in a couple or 3 miles.
