I hope someone here can assist!
I've had my Battery (a 3 year old Bosch) on an optimiser over the winter (not connected to bike)
The charge shows 12.6V to 12.9V on my meter.(measured on the bench not in the bike)
When reinstalled it would not turn over the starter motor, just a frustrating "click" and the neutral light dims.
I managed to get the Kettle started on the kick pretty easily and the battery was measured at circa 14.4V at circa 3000RPM.
After a bit of running I tried the starter again and got the same result ie. nothing.
With the ignition on and the bike not running the voltage is fluctuating between 6V and 8V
I'm at a loss as electrics is not my thing
Anyone any ideas?
Thanks

Re: Electrical power or lack off
Sounds like the battery is toast - I don't like leaving them on a charger all through the winter and tend to put them on a few time for a week at a time as and when the voltage drops down to 12v
