Has anyone fitted these? - bought a set of Allballs from M&p's and they are totally wrong , they are listed for the bike but the bottom inner race is too big and the top one won't even go over the threaded part of the stem both outer races are fine ?

I've fitted a set to the 3 550s I've had and they need work to fit the top inner. There should be instructions with the kit. If you need a copy, pm me and I'll email a copy from my laptop.

Re: T500k tapered head stock bearings
I installed tapered bearing using a Makita ginder to cut a series of 2-3 mm flats up and down the the stem all the way around, then filing the edges off caused by the flats. Finished off with emery cloth.
Results great I guess. No vibrations, tank slapping, ect.
I use a jigs I clamp onto the rims that accept steel rods (all the same length) that touch the rims and stretch a light weight fishing line along them. Use a Vernier scale to measure the line across all four rods. Each wheel has two rods placed in line with the fishing line.
Easy and works.
