Hi,
I have swapped the stock exhaust on my GT550a (1976) for a Higgs Expansion system. My bike starts very well from cold with choke, but if stopped when warm is then very difficult to restart. You can hear the exhaust popping, but it won't fire enough to make it start. Once cold, it starts first turn with choke. Is this a symptom of mixture? Should I increase the size of he jets in the carbs? Anyone got any recommendations?

Higgspeed only recommends messing about with the main jet size if you have replaced the standard air filter or box set up. I wouldn’t of thought the exhausts are causing the issue. You could always swop them back & see if you have the same issue.
