Ignition coils

Post by bobhenry999 »

All,

Whilst I have my 750A in bits to sort out the cooling system problem I noticed that the ignition coils looked a little old and past their sell by date. Could anyone guide me to where I could get a replacement set ?

IMHO the coils on these bikes are pretty robust and unless you have running oroblem's I wouldn't waste your money as buying new won't improve anything. You can replace the HT lead fairly easily on the buff coloured ones but not the grey.

:tw I agree Barney, one of the last things to give you a problem ;)
Unless of cause you leave the ignition on with the bike not running & they get a little hot
Not a problem if you have fitted electronic ignition :P
Cheers.

Guys,

Smashing news, I do have electronic ignition fitted and the bike runs fine, so I guess it`s a case of "If it ain`t broke, don`t fix it"

Thanks anyway for your comments.
