Just noticed my fuel tap leaking but only on reserve whilst the bike is running. Its not coming from the fuel bowl but around the tap itself. Any ideas please before i start to take it apart.
Thanks
Chris

Re: fuel tap leaking
Hi Chris, had the same problem with my tap (GT750A)
Not only was it leaking visablely but also was allowing fuel to flow to the carbs when the bike wasn't running, have you noticed a very wet baffle on any of the pipes ?
I replaced the whole tap & fixed the problem,
Bike now goes a lot better

Re: fuel tap leaking
Actually no the baffles are not excessively wet. I've had fuel leak into the engine when i left it on prime by mistake once so i am fairly confident that the fuel is not leaking into the engine this time.
Just checked the prices for the entire fuel tap and it may be that i just need to replace the various seals.............i also noticed Baz sells the repair kit with either 6 items inclusive or 7 items inclusive

Perhaps Baz'll do you a trade, new for old, worth asking methinks
Look, my paintwork hasn't got "Fish scales" they're "Dragon scales" right!!! However, after some thought, I will accept "Black Marlin" or "Swordfish", but definitely not "Haddock" or "Cod".

The tap has a 'sparkling' appearance so it doesn't need replacing................i send him a message!

Re: fuel tap leaking
ok so if you want to cut down on petrol tap seals to replace then remove the plate that are on most models but not on the B model ,John.
