Spark plugs

Post by klektermaniac »

Hello All,

I know this is a schoolboy question, but what NGK sparking plugs do I require for my GT750J? The book states B7ES but is this still correct? It has Accent electronic ignition and Higgspeed exhaust system fitted.

The more I search the internet the greater range of plugs I find recommended, so I am now officially confused!!

Years ago I had an Yam RD 400, it normally ran on B8’s, in winter I had to put hotter 7’s in it to stop the plugs fouling but didn’t thrash it in case it holed a piston.
I have a 750L & the books say they had B6ES’s as standard - i thought these were a bit hot, so fitted B8’s as these are cooler. It runs well & they are a nice brown colour, but I’ve always wondered if B6’s or 7’s would make it run crisper ? Does anyone on here run B6’s or 7’s in their L ?
Thanks.
