Carbs (again)

Post by klektermaniac »

Hello All,
Firstly I have obtained my Mikuni spares from Motocarb as recommended in replies to my previous threads - I had not heard of them and their service was very impressive and the prices reasonable. Fully recommended!!
However my problem now is how to clean the bodies and orifices? They really are gummed up - possibly not used for 20 years or so - and I have used every cleaning fluid going and they have been in the ultrasonic cleaner for ever, but some of the semi hidden passage ways are still not fully clear.
What can I soak them in to clear the gunge without damaging the bodies??? Any ideas?

If I've got this right there should be a pic of the inside when the float bowl was removed.
