1975 GT750 Rotor brush replacement ???

Post by Skyguyz »

Doing the detailed bits on my restoration and I have SGP new brushes for for the rotor. Trying to figure the best way to install the new brushes???

It is obvious I have to remove the solder on the back where the copper wire connect to the housing fixture. But I can't seem to find a way to remove the old brushes???

Any thoughts?

Just unsolder the old ones, clean up the contact area and solder in new ones.

The old ones should just drop out when unsoldered.

I thought that but I wanted to be sure. This forum is the best.

Hope you didn't buy genuine brushes. I bought some car ones and emery-ed to size.
