Just an addendum, my 1100 Katana has been stood for about six weeks now with one thing and another. So feeling guilty I dragged her out and washed and polished her to within an inch of her life. I turned the fuel tap on to prime to fill the carbs and she started second push of the button. If they can start a bloody great 1100cc four stroke so easily I would say yes these Motobatt batteries are the way to go 8-)
They're rubbish them Jap bikes lad they won't last five minutes! you want to get yourself a nice Royal Enfield!
A quote from my old dad 8-)

I started out with nothing and I’ve got most of it left!
