neutral llight goes dim

ok just noticed my neutral light goes dim when I tuen the kill switch on and bright when I turn it off is it supposed to do that I don't remember it doing?

Its because when you throw the switch it turns the coils on. Hence the power drain :D

If you put the bike in gear before you turn the ignition on, you won't notice it at all.

That's ok then never noticed it before and nothing else I have does it :D :D

Actually I think it was going very dim because the alternator wires had slipped out of the clip and melted :shock: seems to have shorted out not sure what else its wiped out yet besides the battery

Reckon the rectifier will be toast for starters :(

You won't have without a battery.
Just noticed the title of the thread. Is that a welsh neutral light?
