New Home of the 'mraxl' T and GT Resources Site

Post by oldjapanesebikes »

As I think has been mentioned previously, I was asked by Dave to take over his 'mraxl' T and GT Resources web site, and he passed all of his material to me - I have been cleaning it up and also adding material to it over the past few months. There is a lot more still to be added, but it will take a while. The site will continue to be a free resource, the same as I've done with the GT750 Field Guide located here. The new T/GT Resources site for those that don't know is located here: http://www.oldjapanesebikes.com/mraxl_G ... index.html

New material I've added to the existing GT750 information in the past while includes:

- Japanese specific GT750 parts manual
- RE5 parts manual
- GT380 parts manual
- GT380J owners manual
- GT750L owners manual
- GT550L owners manual
- T250/T350 shop manual
- GT185 shop manual
- GT380 shop manual
- 1974 Suzuki owners pamphlet "You and Your Suzuki'
- there are now 94 Suzuki service bulletins on line
- a section on Specifications Sheets

etc.

Enjoy ! Image

I've been building out the T/GT500 page on the site. I still have additional material and as well I am waiting for confirmation on a few points, but if people are interested they can take a look.

As always, comments and especially corrections (supported by documentation) are appreciated. Image

Brilliant site Ian, I don't even have a T500, always liked the look of the early Cobra though......... apart from the swing arm which I always thought looked about three inches too long and made the whole bike look like a two wheeled Dachshund.........but thanks to your site, now I know why.

Really like the 'short wheelbase' look of that 500/5 though......why didn't they leave it like that?

Ian, thats a cracking site just spent an hour on there couldnt find the t500m parts catalogue though but plenty of info on the t500 in various guises - still confused about the rear footrest positions though mine are mounted on the frame and are flip up types on the t500l but i can only see fixed ones on there.

Thank you both !

Supposedly - and this is hearsay - the short wheel base led to speed wobbles hence the change. And regards the foot rests - I may try to put together a list of which had what. My '77 GT500 has them on the swing arm but my '69 T500 has them on the exhaust mount - no idea why Suzuki would change it. And I don't yet have a T500M parts list - one of these days perhaps !

Ian; I'm looking for the part numbers for gt380 bits as per the crookes classic parts lists.
Can't seem to find them on your site as in the gt380 parts listings, there's just the exploded diagrams, but no part numbers with them
Or am I looking in the wrong section?
Great site by the way... like Mike, I could spend hours on it!
cheers Andy

Thanks Andy - appreciated.

The part numbers are all there - what I've done is put the images in as a sort of slide show so you have to page through them. If you have the top one showing a drawing open, then you will notice that a 'NEXT' tag will appear on the right side of each one about half way down the image when you get the cursor on the right side of the image. Click on that and the next page opens. Likewise to go back, look for the 'PREV' tag on the left of each image which again is only visible when you have the cursor on the left side of the image. At the lower left of each image is a tag that tells you how many images are in the stack and where you are in the stack.

Does that help ?
