Shock absorber decal

Post by verminator »

I have just bought a new pair of age correct shocks for my GTA. I ordered a new decal to put on the left side shock as is correct but the decal I have is silvery grey and not like the chrome effect foil decals that are on the handle bars, fuel tank flap and on top of the tank. Is my shock absorber decal correct, or should it be the chrome foil type?? A bit beardy I know, but I do want it to be correct in as many details as poss.

It's chrome-ish on my B, original shocks. Definately not grey, more silver than chrome.

I recall Glenn getting misty eyed with probably accurate memories on this but I don't recall the lettering, I think there were two short sequences?

No point - putting down sod this late in the year is a waste of money. Never survive the winter ..........................

And as a general comment - and this isn't directed at anyone specifically - the guy asked a question. If folks don't like a question, then they can ignore it rather than shoot someone down. Life's too short - at least, that's my opinion, which is free so you know what it's worth ! :D

HI,Ian,think I've only seen that decal on Honda shocks, for me having the old girl behave around corners anyway, was to fit Ikons ;) The originals were horrid...much improved with aftermarket shocks.
