Came across this Kettle here in the USA. Sounds like hydro lock bent a rod or 2. Sounds like the owner had a lot of other work done after the motor took a dive for reasons that elude me.
Price is 2400 quid and shipping across the states would be about 800 quid for a total of 3,200 quid all in. Very interesting possible rebuild on the motor. I have extra rods and crank that appear to be in ok nick. But What do you think?
A- Avoid this one.
B - Low balloter.
C - Buy it now before someone realizes this is a great deal.
D - Think about it.
From the seller:
Beautiful GT750 with 5299 original miles. All original paint, chrome and seat in excellent like new condition. Engine is free but not running. Needed a tune up and friend recomended a mechanic to work on 2 stroke engine and he rebuilt the vacuum fuel petcock incorrectly. Engine was flooded with gas. May have bent rods due to hydraulic lock. Put in shop to have professional repair and he fixed everything but the motor. Repair work done: complete break overhaul, forks rebuilt, etc. over $2,000 in repairs in April 2017. She's been garage kept all her life. I was going to replace engine but really can't ride her anymore. Please feel free to ask any questions, I will provide additional pictures if you need them.
Your thoughts?

At that price, you can't go wrong, but you could probably negotiate that down on the basis that "the motor will be expensive to fix".
It's about as far away as it could be but that shouldn't be a major issue. Get a new set of rods and mains from CruizinImage and send them plus crank to Bill Bune - if the rods are actually bent.

Re: What do you think?
Well I just bought it. The possible hydro lock will require new rods, piston and some crank work but it is all original, unmolested example. 5,900 miles on the clock
Pretty happy about it.
