Works t'other way on this one.
Of course the rear sprocket is the wrong biggenufness, but they changed it at no extra cost.
We'll see how good the chain is in the fullness of time eh?
And I know the one I'm doing is a J and this is for the K,L,M, but heyho!

Here's another one for a HAAAR MUCH?!?!?!?!

Not even the right one for a J, not enough 'folds'.
Should be like these.

Someone's definitely taking the p**s, I didn't pay that much for a pair of forks :o
Look, my paintwork hasn't got "Fish scales" :x they're "Dragon scales" right!!! However, after some thought, I will accept "Black Marlin" or "Swordfish", but definitely not "Haddock" or "Cod".

That's interesting. The ebay set are identical to a pair I have on an original GT550J and have SUZUKI molded in at the top.

Why does anyone think the ebay set is wrong or that there should be more pleats?

Is it possible that Suzuki changed the design and kept the same part number or that they may have changed supplier?

Price is still off the wall though

If you look here on the J 13 pleats
https://www.oldjapanesebikes.com/mraxl_ ... les/page-6
And the later models 9 pleats
https://www.oldjapanesebikes.com/mraxl_ ... les/page-7
Its hard to find 13 pleats these days

Well I saw some on eblob a few years ago for a tenner 'buy it now'.
So despite the cost, I bought the pair of 13 pleat and there they are now - just need the rebuilt engine with 'new' crank off Baz 'very soon'!!
Should be ready for 2020 springtime - as will the Earwig - 2 550s on the road, must be as close to giddy as it's possible to get! 8-)

Perhaps Suzuki realised the cost implications, or perhaps wanted the J models to be special - like the embossed genny and points covers.

Fortunately, we all have a choice - to buy at that price, or not!
If anyone needs some second hand ones, I have several sets that need prettying up at very reasonable prices.....
