Prices of some parts!

Post by barney01 »

Have had a split in my 550 J chainguard which for those who don't know is made of plastic.
Now I know they are a rare item but £122 in the states for a used complete one and £55 for a marginal better but split one from DK !
Out with the Araldite and I cut a old number plate to shape for bracing....

Barney. Take it to a car repair shop where they do plastic welding on car bumpers etc.
I need to do the same with the front mudguard on the GSX.
Save a lot of farting about, let a professional fart about with it in 10% of the time!

Only plassy chainguards on the J, but I've a nice rechromed K onwards 'guard if you need one.
