GT750A Points

Post by Dutch »

Hi all,

Where do you guys get your points from, ie are there cheap crap ones knocking around or will any aftermarket ones be ok?

Been looking at these, will they be ok?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUZUKI-GT750 ... SwUV9WoQ-T

Thanks in advance
Jeff

Always used aftermarket ones in the kettle one set in four years and one emery paper clean up it does not do the mileage to warrant the expensive ones :) ;) colin

They never wear out or cause problems if you do what I do. Remove points. Throw them in a bag. Fit electronic ignition. Done. Points last forever.

Thanks guys,

I Don't know how old mine are as I've had my Kettle now for nearly 7 years and have never changed them so I just thought I would keep a spare set just in case, but looking at your replies it sounds like its not necessary.

Thanks and regards
Jeff

Get good quality ones and time the bike properly. All my triples are on points and run fine.
None of that electrickery crap - and I worked 49 years in the electrical trade!
