It's my understanding that the J/K seat bases have more holes that the later seats. In the pic below there should be holes inside the red circles(yes I know there are others), does anyone have measurements of exactly(near enough) where they should be?

Just had a look at my 750j seat base, ( not got round to finish it) all the metal tabs in place too.. there is 2 extra holes in the metal base..

Are the extra holes to let more farts out due to the aproximate handling and braking on the early Hippos?

The hole's in the center, are center to the cross swage, so cut a square of paper, cross it from corner to corner, find the middle, put it over, there's your middle to drill.. I would us a step drill.. ( photo) The two ether side of center swage, is 3 to 4 mm out from the center...
