Try out a Yamaha FJR1300. Nice upright position with adjustable screen and loads of power.

Faster than one of those gsx 1400’s. I know this as I passed some old guy on a silver one a few months ago. Don’t even think he saw me. :D

He's either not seen your comment Martin or he is not biting
He’s just not biting. I’ll have to use a juiceier worm and up my game.

I had a 1st generation Hayabusa some time ago, it was my last sports bike and convinced me my back was no longer up to riding in that position, blindingly quick and relatively sure footed but not for me any longer. I would recommend looking at a BMW K1300GT, same sort of money as a second gen 'Busa. Very comfortable over long distances, very quick, ABS, traction control etc etc.

Hi, thanks or the info. I've not tried a first gen Busa and I've only had a 20min ride on the 2nd gen bike but it seemed very comfy to me. The riding position seemed nice with just the right amount of weight on the wrists and the seat to footrest position was spot on for me. As a bonus i could get both feet on the floor which gives me confidence. It also seemed to be a lot easier to man handle around compared to my 1100 Kat.
As I said in my first post a short test ride isn't much when you are thinking of lashing out between six and seven thousand pounds on!y to find out on the first proper ride that the bike doesn't suit you!
They're rubbish them Jap bikes lad they won't last five minutes! you want to get yourself a nice Royal Enfield!
A quote from my old dad 8-)

I started out with nothing and I’ve got most of it left!

I bought you a coffee last time we met, yer ingrate. At the Ponderosa after you and t'other(s?) had been feeding their faces elsewhere. Image
Remember now?
That was when I introduced you to the GSX and probably kick started your nonsensical brain fart soggy dream.
