Having removed an SRIS valve that had stuck closed I soaked it in thinners then dried it off. A quick check it was working by sticking it in my gob and blow and suck
Then came the inevitable fight to reattach the hose and clip without taking all the exhaust's off. After an hour of trying I had a lightbulb moment and used the house steam cleaner(whilst her back was turned) and a pair of long nosed pliers. A jet of steam heated up the tube and on it went! Jobs a good 'un

Re: SRIS tip
Thanks for that, about to do the same. I don’t want the missus to know I can use the steam cleaner though !
