Big relief! Strange occurence

Post by barney01 »

Out on the 550 today, bike was running great, doing 60 mph suddenly 'phooar' sound massive loss of power. Pulled over thinking the worst. Found that the nearside carb to cylinder rubber had popped off. The clamp was still tight and the airbox rubber was relaxed, not under tension. Wot the 'ell? Undid the clamp pushed it back on tightened it up. No problems. Phew!

Glad just a quick fix eh Barney ;) Good one that probably because your carbs are not linked that has been able to become detached would'nt have thought linked carbs would allow that to happen so easy :D
Oh the joys of riding old bikes :) :)

Maybe you were too optimistic about the size of rubber you needed Barney...
