I'm fettling my GT380 over winter with a view to putting it on the road next year.( restored it in 2013 and it's never turned a wheel since!
At the minute, the bike is a bit "let down" by the seat.
The seat is original to the bike and in excellent order , but just a little bit "dull" on the finish. The
"suzuki" lettering on the back is also a bit faded. I don't want to renew the cover as it's perfect and ori ginal.
what do you recommend as a product to clean and add a bit of
"newness" and why do these words keep on jumping from
line to
line?... sorry about that!
basically; what do you guys use to clean and polish your seats
?
years ago we used to use boot polish.
cheers
Andy

Re: HOW TO CLEAN A SEAT?
Hi Andy, how ya doin mate?
My grandson manages his own Timpsons shoe repair shop and I've just asked him for an answer to your question. He recommends trying Kiwi black liquid shoe polish. Not the sort we used to use on leather shoes which you rubbed in with a cloth and then polished with a brush, he means the type in a tube with a small sponge on the end, which will most importantly restore the black colour and can then be polished if you need to.
Might be a cheap and simple solution Andy.
Hope this helps.
Cheers, Steve.
P.S. It comes in white too for the lettering.

Look, my paintwork hasn't got "Fish scales" they're "Dragon scales" right!!! However, after some thought, I will accept "Black Marlin" or "Swordfish", but definitely not "Haddock" or "Cod".

Out on FAB yesterday (50 miles) and again today to Mablethorpe (80 miles) making the most of the sunshine and the fact that she's never ran better, must be uncle Baz's magic touch with the carb resto, the replacement barrels and pistons and the new exhaust system, running like a dream
