To allow the air to flow through the thinner lower fins first,Then through the taller thicker ones.Alan H wrote:Wonder why they put the cylinder heads back to front on the Ariel Arrow?

Bit daft then, shirley? Like fitting ram air backwards. Less efficient. Probably a show queen that has no pistons....Kettletimes3 wrote:To allow the air to flow through the thinner lower fins first,Then through the taller thicker ones.Alan H wrote:Wonder why they put the cylinder heads back to front on the Ariel Arrow?

No pistons is the way to go especially if you leave the con rods out! less weight, less reciprocating weight, smoother running and less emissions plus a very quiet engine. It’s a win win situation.Alan H wrote: Bit daft then, shirley? Like fitting ram air backwards. Less efficient. Probably a show queen that has no pistons....
