OOooh, that feels good !

Post by teebowbusablaster »

Sod the salt, took the kettle out for a little shake down run, wow, nothing fell off, nothing leaked, and even with a gentle throttle, it ran and pulled very nicely, up to 4,000 or occasionally 4500.
Got a feeling it's sorted, and going to be a sweet experience !

Isn't that a fantastic feeling Terry? :D Hope that's the end of the saga ;)
Look, my paintwork hasn't got "Fish scales" :x they're "Dragon scales" right!!! However, after some thought, I will accept "Black Marlin" or "Swordfish", but definitely not "Haddock" or "Cod".

Sounds like you flogged the dud and bought a different bike!

I need to change my test route......went for another run to see if it was losing coolant, or if it had just filled all the airholes with coolant, and off we went.
Up the gears nicely, and then needed to dab down one gear for a bend, except the gear lever had now departed !
Looked for it on the way back after a 4th gear U turn, and have just been back over the route in the car, but no sign of it, so must have bounced off into the hedgerow !

Wanted, GT750A gear lever !

You did, and I had checked the security of the bolt, but had the covers off last night to polish, so may have been a bit lax putting it back on !

You'll have to walk the route, too fast to notice a gear lever stuck in a puddle when driving a car.
