Who's the oldest kettle rider?

Post by stevewharton »

Just thinking, I've owned my kettle for 32 years and if I still have it in another 32 years I'll be 99 years old, and I guess I'll have to face the fact that I might not still be riding :( :o  So who is the oldest person riding a kettle? I know a guy in the kettle club who still regularly rides his "A" model, which he's had from new, and he's 76, any advance on that?
There is another old fella who I often see at Willingham Woods in Lincolnshire and he rides three sidecar combinations, a 900 Kawasaki, a Buell and a Vincent, (obviously loaded) and he's well into his 80's.
P.S. I've heard a rumour that there's a really old guy living in Yorkshire that rides a kettle, they say he's always complaining too, anyone know him? ;)
Look, my paintwork hasn't got "Fish scales" :x they're "Dragon scales" right!!! However, after some thought, I will accept "Black Marlin" or "Swordfish", but definitely not "Haddock" or "Cod".

I don't recommend pushing a kettle, much too heavy, not too bad until you get to an incline :o
Pushed mine about a mile once when I ran out of petrol, never again it nearly killed me, a good cardio workout though

I have a tee shirt which says "If god was a biker he'd ride a two stroke", maybe he is and rides a kettle :D

Can't be me. I don't complain. I just have strong opinions. Plus, I'm only 67!!
Proof that four strokes are over complicated
