Frame and engine numbers

Hi, my 1972 750j model has an engine number 335 above the frame number,is this correct, thanks in advance,Dave.

Probably. Suzuki didn't do matching numbers on frame & engine. So long as they match the V5 or here - http://www.ozebook.com/compendium/suzi/ ... engnos.htm - they're fine.

Hmmm. T'int working for me either, but I thought that might be 'cos I'm trying to access the site from overseas (again!)

Tells me I'm forbidden. That's a first.

But back to the original question, engine and frame numbers rarely matched back then. Engine numbers are typically higher than frame numbers. Only time that's an issue in the US is if it was registered in a state that used teh engine number and it's now in a state that uses the frame number. For the rest of the world it shouldn't be an issue.
