Signed this very worthwhile petition yesterday when the total number of signatures was just over 7000, just had a look today and it's now reached 66000, so it looks like the target of 100,000 will easily be achieved. Had a look at the map too which shows how the whole country is responding to the petition, South East Yorkshire is easily leading the way which isn't surprising really,
Think about it, Yorkshireman, money, careful, why shouldn't the government pay for this lifesaving service, isn't that right Alan? ;) Joking apart if the government can give a load of old rich duffers hundreds of pounds a day, to fall asleep in the house of lords, they can surely donate something to this admirable cause.

Look, my paintwork hasn't got "Fish scales" :x they're "Dragon scales" right!!! However, after some thought, I will accept "Black Marlin" or "Swordfish", but definitely not "Haddock" or "Cod".

It's a good idea, hopefully the gubmint won't want to get involved and implement 'efficiencies' or run it like the lifeboats with hr and diversity wonks running the show.
I used to donate monthly to the RNLI (as a diver and boathandler) but when that silly tart from 'head office' instigated the sacking of 7 volunteers at Whitby ecause she didn't have a sense of humour, that was the day I cancelled my direct debit. Like the air ambulance, I never needed assist from tbe lifeboats, but it's good they are there.
