Looks like some-one has unsuccessfully tried to put tank seal in. Needs a good clean out with citric acid. Great stuff. Kev

Filled the tank with baking soda mix £1.36 attached clean steel strip of mild steel insulated from the tank and hitch up to a 12v battery with charger on
Starts to bubble up immediately and leave for 24hrs Results below worked well for me on the Bonnie and believe me they are very sensitive in and around the pilot jets :)
