Hello Ian, did you ever get it finished? I 'll give you a bell in a week or so when we're back home as there's some other stuff I need for the 550J. How are you doing with the 'real' job nowadays bud?

Hi Alan

Still doing the real job, contract finishes in 5 weeks, but they may extended it for another 6 months, will have to do a real job for a while longer as I've been buying toys again

The GT750 is a US import, arrived about 4 weeks ago and the triumph I bought about 1 week ago
The triumph is very nice :D

The king and queen seat came off straight away, given it a clean, and that is about it.

Still need to finish off the polishing on the fork brace
Welcome to give me a shout, doing quite a bit on the lathe in the evenings, looking at making some saxophone parts for a guy, bit different.

Give me a call when you get 5 mins.

It looks like a B mudguard, but the previous owner has raised it up by 20mm, by bolting mudguard to metal plate, then metal plate fork leg :?
Sure there must have been a good reason

I'll have to post some photos later

Was previous owner going to do a lot of dirt road riding ?
Maybe why the guard has more clearance for mud ?
Cheers.

If you haven't got the front brake pipe retaining brackets that should fit between forks & wheel, I have some rechromed ones spare. Running the brake pipes where they currently are isn't your normal standard, I'm certain!
