Good for another 50000 at least yet!
Didn't you lose a '0' ? Two of mine are over 300k miles, with another over 200k. Just getting broken in I say!
Of course I live in the land of no MOT...if they have headlights and a horn then you can drive them, after they reach 30years, you don't even have to prove the headlights and horn!!

I used to do about 45-50000 miles a year and had to change cars at 3 years old or lose out on fuel allowance when I was working, but this one is just 'mine' so will get changed 'soon' when I can finally find a Santa Fe Sport 2.0 turbo AWD in right hand drive form. Anyway, by the time it gets to 130000 the carpets need decoking cos I don't do valeting.

My car was taken to the menders today, and I had a word with the insurance as the car hire company said the tit in the wagon was denying liability.
The girl said it would probably be a 1 litre hatchback. Image
I said a few words, non sweary, as I was still in polite (ish) mode, Image but she must have got the message loud and clear as they've just dropped the courtesy car off.

A '66 plate 2.7 litre Toyota land Cruiser invincible. K'inell, it's bigger than me Santa Fé! Image

Unfortunately someone has fitted a nasty tractor engine under the bonnet, and I have to put something called 'diesel' in the fuel tank. Image

I was hoping for a nice Image
Oh well, it'll have to do I suppose.

Toyota Land Cruiser, the king of 4x4's 8-) yes they are seriously big but being Japanese and being a Toyota especially they are brilliant motors. You might even get used to the diesel engine Alan, Toyota certainly have sorted them out.

Talking of the devil, my wife finally bought her 'dream vehicle', a high end Landy Evoque. Its got a tractor motor. I will say, it drives pretty well, for a tractor. Its too big for our medieval roads and the street we live in is less than two Landy's wide. Getting it backed into our slot of a 'drive' requires the reversing radar. I like to see where the ends of a vehicle are, but I have no option but to use my ears now. Bloody thing. I miss my Golf GTi. Yep, we dumped my '02 plate, keeping her TT Mk1 ;)
(She's not stupid, is my OH)

the tit in the wagon was denying liability.

Wuh, What was he doing in the outside lane ? Not legal ! (nothing over 7.5 tonnes. No towing vehicles (caravans & trailers). No coaches.)
Unless the gantries were saying use outside lane, he shouldn't have been there.
Show insurance co the pics.
Hope your both still ok ?
Scotch.

Yeh, see the quack tomorrow 'just in case'. The Iboprufen is keeping stiff shoulders in some check. Problem with this is I had two similar about 18 years ago, 1 on the M8 near glasgi (escort hit my Volvo 440 up the arse and Lynn ended up in hospital, then the day after I got the car back seven weeks later on the A14 southbound, a truck hit a Vectra behind me - Vectra was off the ground when it hit!!! - and knocked me into car, van, van in standing traffic. Volvo written off, I bent the steering wheel and brake pedal and broke the seat as I saw it coming in the mirror and got well braced for the impact.
I ended up in horspingtile that time! :(
My neck and back has always been a bit 'tender' since, so I think this one might have a summons thrown at him. Richard says he's OK. The guy in the Audi is off work with severe whiplash, and the 'Asian couple' in the corsa have tried to get me to enrol with their cousin 'the solicitor'.
Yeh, right. No conflict of interests there then? (innit!) And I was going to help them. Well fukkit, they can fend for themselves.
