lnteresting , i never realised the red lense was used on uk bikes , thats good news , i had an A kettle years ago with this brown and black console and blue lens , suzuki replacement items were all black i remember

The difficult bit will be to peel off all the labels and sticking them on the right way around...

The best to make them look right is to wear inverting spectacles. Any other brain teasers, just let me know.

This type of console is usually on "L" models so does it mean only this model fades dunno :?

The red main beam light was use on the M model as well -as for the colour fading to brown I think it must have been something to do with the printing process as the gear position sticker and the calliper stickers used to go the same Way

I might put honda ones on the 550J, cos they aren't as expensive. No-one will notice. :roll:

ah i get it now ( lol at last ) strangely i like the faded to brown look , i always thought it was a model thing , very interesting thanks chaps

Exactly the same thing used to happen to the wheel trim centre badges on 70s Rovers and MG's they must have used the same printing process
