Re: indicators won t work on left side
But the console indicator repeater doesn't have an earth.
The two wires go to the left and right indicator circuits - green and black IIRC.
Then when either side is switched on, the other side actually 'earths' through the other side bulbs but as it's only a tiny (2w?) bulb, it doesn't allow enough current through to light the actual indicator bulbs.

It is an earth and if the connection was bad then it would cause problemsquark77 wrote:hmm i just presumed the black and white wire running next to the orange was an earth Alan , cleaning it up seems to has done the trick

The black 'n' white wires are all earths, but the black 'un int.
I would suggest starting in the headlamp unit and unplug all the connectors (one at a time!) clean pins and sockets, and then replace them where they were.
Then move through the entire bike doing the same. Go through ALL the earth connections especially.
If there's 'a few' bad connections, there will be more. Bet yer goolies on that!

it has a brand new loom throughout but yes good advice to clean original plugs in headlamp shell , i ll do that before it gets the glass back on and keep checking the indicators step by step lol paranoia setting in
