Just fit a set of early carbs. 2 strokes don't like CV carbs much. A slow tickover helps though.

Hi everyone, to limit the surge, I made some attempts suggested by some of you, for example, lower the idle speed to around 1000 rpm. However with poor results; until, as if by magic a mechanic suggested me to lightly grease the carburetion by acting on the screw pilot air unscrewing it by half a turn over the 3/4 of a turn that the workshop manual says. Basically the screw is unscrewed by 1 + 1/2 turn. The result was excellent, the engine in release spins smoothly away which is a pleasure. For me it was the last test before relying on Baz's hands to replace the anti-surge jets. For now it's okay. Bye
