ACF-50 Spray For Polished Alum Covers?
Hello - Has anyone tried using ACF-50 spray for polished alum engine covers to stop fading etc over time?

I've never had a problem with the covers once polished I just shine with Alu bite occasionally. I ride through the winter too. I use ACF underneath on the frame and under the exhaust's.

I always wipe my casings over with a product called Showroom Shine after Solvoling them takes all the black deposits off and lasts all through the winter in the garage under the Motrax covers - they don't dull at all

Hi Syd,
I have polished casings and use ACF50 in these winter months to keep the crap and roadsalt at bay.
Works okay for me.
Obviously they don't look very polished with acf on but are well protected.
Just be sure to clean and polish casings before applying the acf50.
This is my 5th winter since having the casings mirror polished and they are still looking okay-ish.
Having said all that I have not bothered yet this year as winter has not arrived yet in sunny Staffordshire.

Interesting, I might try that myself although the benefit of acf is that it neutralises Road salt (according to blurb on the can).senicoli wrote:clear natural boot polish also protects them still can see the shine and repels any moisture colin
