Did you change to a J/K fuel tap or make up some sort of manifold/distribution arrangement? Presumably used a J/K throttle cable and oil pump arm and adapter.

How does it run, other than lack of surging? Does it feel more crisp on acceleration or faster or just about the same but smoother? What about when on and off the throttle? CV carbs are designed to smooth out those transitions.

Strange they were only on the Hippos.
Maybe every other two stroke was more economical anyway?

I have used the standard fuel tap and split it 3 ways, the oil pump set up will be similar to the J model. The weather to bad here to do a good run but will update soon. I did not want a choke lever on the bars so working on that..Looking forward to pissing off the rivet counters.

Thanks Baz. Will be interesting to hear how the conversion performs when it gets warmer again.

Baz,
I'll be watching this one with interest. As you might recall, I have a very nice set of those VMs but no surprise, I've not got around to trialing them on my 750A.
They do fit the carb to engine rubbers perfectly. but IIRC they are different at the back and longer (or was it shorter) meaning an airbox mod if also needed - hybrid J/K lower boot and later airbox.
I'd have to check all over again - my notes are not good enough!
Cheers,
Mike

The problem is mike that the front boots are 4mm longer the carbs are the same size so fitted custom rear boots 4mm shorter! from a plumbing wholesaler recommended by Mr. Teapot. I will send more picture or buzz me, dude.
