GT550J wiring query

Senior moment, initially put this query in Buy/Sell by mistake!

I appear to have a 'spare' black and white wire (earth?) in the bunch that sit within the boot a few inches above the right hand footrest. Does anyone know what this is for, or is it a genuine 'spare'.

From my own (admittedly limited) experience of spares, they normally end with a female connector.

You know, if you do an introduction before asking for things, you might get a reply.
Just your name, approximate where you're from and what you've got bike wise is a good start.
