so, the GT380 fork legs I bought off ebay don't fit my GT380 yokes - thats because they are GT550 forks legs (35mm v 33mm).
Anyways, can anyone (Alan?) tell me if GT550J fork sliders are the same diameter (externally) at the oil seal mounting as the later, disc braked GT550's? Only asking as I can get a front fork brace for a 1972 GT550, but not for a later version.

Re: Forks again............
Fork sliders are same diameter, but fork bottoms vary between models, so do tops. 550J fork bottoms were for 4LS brake as I'm sure you know and discs won't fit as there's no caliper mounts until the K model (one side) and either M or A model for both leg caliper mounts.
The fork innards also changed. The brace will have to be for those forks you have. I have a spare 550 top yoke set if you need one.
