Re: Caliper identification ???
Just found this info from an ebay seller.
https://www.ebay.com/p/Suzuki-GT-250-Gt ... 2120745382
made the discovery that this part will only fit 1973 models GT250,380,550,750
1973 they had a shaped brake line screwed into the top of the caliper. ( such as this )
1974-77 They had a banjo bolt which is a different / large size... and is taller so that the brake line can approach from the side (photo 6)
Maybe that's it Iv got a 73 Caliper.

Re: Caliper identification ???
I have exactly the same problem. Bought a supposedly 76A model caliper off Twowheelspares on ebay which I sent for refurbishing without looking at it to be told it's only suitable for a 73 bike.
Trying to get them to take it back for a refund at the moment.

Re: Caliper identification ???
T'aint like the one on my 550K when I bought it.
That had a thin metal pipe that went horizontally from just behind the fork leg to the caliper, but bent down above the caliper and entered the caliper vertically down with a compression type fitting holding the swaged pipe end onto a raised casting in the caliper.
I'll find some pics when I get back home.

No, I changed that caliper as the old one was in really poor condition.

Re: Caliper identification ???
It's surprising that there were so many variants. I've got a couple of odd balls in my collection.

Re: Caliper identification ???
There y'go. Now whether this is the correct one for the US market K model (this particular bike was built in August 1972 according to the 'vin' label) and must have been one of the first ones built as we only got the J model in August '72 (I bought what was described to me as one of the first sold to the public), goodness knows.
