GT550 - Exhaust Pipe Coupling Sealer
Has anyone used an alternative type of sealing product to the Suzuki blu-tack type rope # 99000-31020 for the exhaust couplings? I assume you could use a silicone type gasket sealing product as an alternative. Any info would be much appreciated.

Hi Syd
I used to use the Suzuki purpose made stuff from Discountbikestores but Alan H put me onto the O ring idea and I haven't looked back since!
No messing and works really well.

Thanks for the info about the oring which looks like the way to go. I had used the correct Suzuki stuff when I fitted the pipes, however I had to remove the RH side main pipe to do something and the blu-tack stuff needs to be replaced. I don't have any left and it will take a while to come from the UK so I'll check out the oring option as recommended by Alan H
