Alan the only chance of bumping into them is if you are in the bar
Oi Rich - I resemble that remark  - mind you there is a quick escape route through the side door should any unexpected Yorkshiremen venture in looking for someone to buy them a pint

Is that with the engine running? How did you adjust the clutch? Kev

Start the engine THEN select gears, or get the bike on the centre stand and spin tbe back wheel either by hand or engine. Selector dogs never mesh when the box is stationary.

Even if you have, you shouldn't get a screaming noise. How much oil is in the gearbox?

Who screamed? You or the bike?
Adjust the clutch like this.
Slacken the nut off on the clutch actuator inside the (outer) oil free compartment where the clutch cable enters the engine.
Slowly tighten (or slacken, whichever is relevant) the centre screw (that the nut tightens onto) until the handlebar clutch lever has about half an inch of 'pull' before doing anything.
Tighten the nut.
Adjust the thumbscrew where the cable enters the lever perch so the lever pulls back about a quarter inch before lifting the clutch.
Try the clutch while riding.
If you can't get neutral easy, tighten the adjuster.
If gearchange is clonky slack it off a bit.

Is there oil in the gearbox? No oil will make the clutch squeal.
