I have finally completed my restoration of a 1975 GT550M. crank rebuild, powder coated frame, new seals/bushes etc, barrels and heads aqua blasted, carbs ultrasonic cleaned, new stanchions, new chrome, etc. etc. etc. Spent way too much on it but as far as my wife is concerned - it is all an investment.
A few rookie errors with the electrics, and the carbs gave some trouble and are still running rich (so have some fettling to do), but final thing is to decide whether to re-chrome the pipes or go for higgspeeds. The PO managed to spill acid all over the right hand exhausts so either need re-chrome or replace - unless anyone has any half decent right hand pipes for sale? I have read the threads and opinion is definitely divided!
anyway, here are a few pics (and yes, i know it needs a polish but couldn't wait to get out on it last night)

Looking good
Iv nearly finished a late M in black its not all strictly all correct. Wrong tank badge ( I think it looks better)
Iv been told the Indicators are too long .
I Had to get my exhausts re Fabricated by" Compitition Fabrications " and then polished and Chromed .
Not cheap but and took nealy a year with all three firms.
