Tin Can indicator relay for GT550

Post by glawton550gt »

Hello guy's
Firstly, thanks for all the advise previously regarding my indicator issues.
I've traced it back to the relay but can't source one. Options are Suzuki Discount spares superseded unit at £70 or has anyone bothered with the two pin variety on ebay currently costing a mere £8 ?
Sounds too good to be true so probably is????

All the best

Gary

Got them cheap ones on my 380 and my x7, work just the same as original. Not too sure on how many pins though on mine as it's a while since I fitted them, if the pins are correct for yours just buy it I would say ;-)

Cheers Gary
There are three wires on the original (one being the earth).
The cheap ones have two spade connectors so will need modding. No earth wire present but neither has the £70 quid one.
May just gamble and see what happens, it's only a relay after all.

I bought a.pack of maybe 5 or 6 from China for less than a tenner, all work as they should. Might be even cheaper this way ;-)

Looks like they've gone up a bit!

If they're a bit bright, get a black one! I've got them on all my bikes and they work fine. No wiring mods needed as it doesn't need earthing.

These work with BULBS. If you have led 'bulbs' you need different ones suitable for that.
Your bulbs should be 21 watt so 2 x 21 = 42 watt. Forget the dash bulb it's inly a watt or so.
Proof that four strokes are over complicated
